As part of our farewell for Renee and Jade, AND because it was the end of term, we decided to have a shared lunch. A big thankyou to everyone who brought food. What an amazing feed we had!!
We were so sad to farewell Renee today. We wish you well for your move to Christchurch, Renee, but we will SO miss not having you in the class. just in case you can't find Renee in the maze of faces ...
Mrs Sara and Mrs Rout were totally blown away by the 13 people who stood up in front of our class and delivered their campaign speeches. What amazing speeches from each and everyone of you. We were so proud of you all!!
After counting all the votes, the following 6 people were elected - Shariah, Max, Tara, Devlin, Lily and Rowan. What a super successful weekend for these 3 room 1 and 2 pupils.
Alex won the trophy for the 'BEST NOVICE OPTIMIST SAILOR". Jacob won a brand new bike as the spot prize at the Coast Kids Triathlon Series. Caitlin won a gold medal at the South Island karate Champs. Don't forget that elections for School Council will be held on Wednesday morning.
You will need to present a short speech to your classmates, telling them why you think you are the best person for the job. Some people have already started campaigning by handing out flyers. Good luck to everyone! Catey, Devlin, Lily, Dylan, Jack, Tara, Kane and Neal are away for 2 days attending the ICT conference in Shantytown.
Really looking forward to hearing all about it and having you share all your newfound knowledge with us. Good luck to Rowan, Claudia, Kendra and Abby who are heading over to Christchurch this afternoon to compete in the Canterbury swimming sports. We will all be keeping our fingers crossed for you!
