'The first quiz was general knowledge and based on 'Countries Around the World.' The winners were ... Congratulations Isla and Ngahina! The second game was 'Grammar". And the winners were ... Congratulations Layton and Scott. A great game and a race to the end!
Congratulations to those children in Room 1 and 2 that went all out and dressed in yellow.
Altogether, the school raised $500. Over the last week, the class has been working on a new piece of artwork. It is based on the Koru and was completed using chalk pastels and black inkand PVA. The end results have blown us away! Check out the following pictures to see the art works in progress ... ... and the end results.
What a night! 3 hours spent watching the year 5 and 6 basketball finals. Apologies for their not being many pics of the year 6 boys, but your game was so fast and so exciting, I had to put my camera away and cheer you on.
A huge congratulations to all the players - you made South School so proud with the effort you put into your games. This week we had two rounds of Kahoot. The first game was General Knowledge, and the winners were Connor and Logan. Congratu;lations, boys! The second game was 'Grammar' and included tense, verbs, sentence structure and spelling.
It was a hard fought battle between two teams, but in the end it came down to which team was faster on the button. Although both teams finished with the same score, Bre and Layton took out first place from Glorian and Erin. It became a really exciting competition between these two teams and was only decided on the last question, so both teams deserved to have their photo up on the blog! This morning we welcomed our two special visitors, from ERO, to our school with a special assembly. The Kapa Haka group performed, Aaron and Sarah performed solos on the piano, Jesse delivered his speech and the 3 West-a-maths teaams were presented with their certificates and trophy.
So proud to read tonight's paper and see that Jack and Samara have both made Buller U13 Basketball teams. Big congratulations to both of you..
