Just a few reminders'
* don't forget a tin of fruit - pears, peaches or apricots. (thank you to those of you who have already brought your tin) * boxes will be outside the classroom on Tuesday morning for your baking * please let us know, before we leave for camp, if you are unable to source any items on your gear list. * with the temperatures dropping overnight, it's probably a good idea to pack a blanket/rug. * remember you are allowed to bring a scooter or a skateboard. * a really good nights sleep on Monday night! This afternoon, children in Room 1 and 2 were given a challenge. In groups of 3, they had to create a skipping rope using only a pair of scissors and 5 supermarket plastic bags. There were certain criteria they had to try and follow and points were awarded for... * the skipping rope being the right size for the nominated team member * the rope had to be 'usable' * no frayed bits hanging off * completed within the given time Think the pictures say it all! At the end, we had 3 teams that scored 10/10, so we had a jump off ... And still all 3 of the ropes held together!!
In the end, the 2 judges conferred and decided that the overall winner was Logan's team (his rope was super neat and had no bits sticking out) followed closely behind by Ciara and Lenka's teams. This morning Lenka was presented with a special award in assembly. She and another student had rushed to the aid of a new 5 year old student when he fell getting off the school bus. Thank you Lenka.
Big congratulations to these 4 students who received certificates for their outstanding effort at our school swimming sports.
