Todays challenge was to build an aircraft using only paper, straws, blu-tack and paper clips. Judging was based on the aircraft that flew the greatest distance! Initially, lots of discussion and collaboration took place ...
... and then we had the completed aircraft ...
Next came the 'flight' test. Some nose-dived. Some turned upside down! Some flew a little way and some flew a long way.
Does anyone have one of these, or something similar, lying around home? We need another ships wheel for our production. This one is actually plastic and came off a piece of children's playground equipment. If you can help, please let Mrs Rout know.
Today the children created some stunning art work from an idea we had seen online. The results were amazing - such a simple idea with such incredible results. More photos of the finished works will be posted tomorrow night.
The children love working on the chromebooks and take pride in the presentation of their published work. We are continually being upskilled in new and exciting uses for digital technology, and the children are enjoying getting to grips with these skills and becoming proficient in their use.
While all the children should be proud of their efforts, special congratulations need to go to 4 children from our room. Ciara and Kieran both came 3rd in their Year 5 races, while Jack and Samara were both winners for the Year 6 races. Congratulations!!
