The class was given a scenario whereby one of their tramping party had seriously injured themselves and so it was up to the rest of the group to create a stretcher and carry them out of the bush to where help was waiting.
In groups of 4, the children had to plan, create and construct their stretcher.

Would the stretchers be strong enough to carry the patient ( 8kg of potatoes) over the obstacle course to safety?
Let's just say, while most patients did make it to saftey, there were a few that weren't quite so lucky!!!
Unfortunately, there are not photos of all the teams on the obstacle course. Mrs R got so carried away timing the teams and cheering them on, she forgot about the camera in her pocket. Apologies to those who missed out.
